Software Engineering Intern

Acorns is seeking current college Juniors (graduating 2027) for a software engineering internship. The internship program will run for 10-weeks during the Summer of 2026. Software engineers at Acorns translate high-level business requirements into the services, systems, and data models that power our products and features. They think critically about how to design and build components that are performant, scalable, and reliable, while balancing technical excellence with real-world business needs. As a software engineering intern, you’ll collaborate closely with product, mobile, frontend, and QA partners to plan, build, and ship meaningful features and infrastructure that support cohesive financial products. Our internship is designed around collaboration and true end-to-end ownership. You’ll lead a dedicated project from concept through delivery, defining requirements with stakeholders, designing the technical architecture, and implementing the solution while fully embedded in an engineering team’s day-to-day rituals. The experience culminates in a company-wide presentation where you’ll showcase your project, its impact, and what you’ve learned along the way.
