The Azure Core Trusted Platform team safeguards Microsoft’s foundational cloud infrastructure by ensuring that our engineering systems, services, and workflows meet the highest bars for security, privacy, and regulatory compliance. As a Software Engineer on the team, you’ll work deeply in distributed systems, reliability, debugging, secure coding, cloud security, automation, and CI/CD, applying strong engineering fundamentals to build resilient, compliant platform components used across Microsoft. Privacy Manager is a core part of this mission, providing the unified platform that helps hundreds of Microsoft engineering teams understand, track, and confidently manage how their services use, store, and move data. It brings together automated data‑flow insights, privacy‑aware tooling, and structured review workflows that make compliance easier to adopt and harder to get wrong. By integrating these capabilities directly into engineering processes, Privacy Manager enables teams to make informed decisions, reduce risk, and meet evolving global regulatory expectations without slowing down innovation.
