Job Description:

We are looking for software engineer who has a passion for designing and coding software for a distributed control system. They should also be excited about the opportunity to integrate AI into existing systems and processes to improve efficiency and efficacy. Join ASML and you will be joining a team that operates in a fast-paced, uniquely innovative and challenging environment to create world class EUV technology within ASML. You will work with software and control system engineers in an Agile team as you develop software in response to the system requirement and design documents. You will get to participate in designing for excellence, keeping in mind all the –cities and –abilities like reusability, modularity, simplicity, maintainability, In addition you will determine the best test methodologies, and contribute in all aspects of the software development, build, test and release cycle. In this role, you will collaborate closely with AI engineers to identify and integrate artificial intelligence into advanced calibration systems. These systems support the operation of highly complex plasma-generating equipment. You will also partner with software architects and functional engineers to design, test, and deploy innovative software solutions for our global customer base. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Working in a team of highly skilled software and cross functional engineers responsible for delivering software solutions that enables the ever-increasing miniaturization of semiconductor technology
  • Using Agile methodology to develop the software using C++ and Python
  • Creating designs and Implement code that are modular, scalable, robust and meet customer requirements
  • Perform unit testing and on target testing to ensure the software meets the high-quality standards our customers expect
  • Evaluation of technical issues, risks, and dependencies for projects
  • Interfacing with stakeholders to gather a complete understanding of their requirements
  • Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture
  • Participate in continuous process improvement activities aimed at ensuring the processes and tools used throughout software development lifecycle are increasing the team’s ability to develop high quality software in the most efficient manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum of BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related Eng/Science fields
  • 0-2 years in technical development role with strong software engineering skills
  • 0-2 years of working C++ experience and/or Python required
  • Experience with ML algorithms and architectures such as CNNs, RNNs, and GANs
  • Experience designing, developing and deploying LLM for various applications as well as integrating with existing LLMs via API
  • Participated and assisted in the delivery of at least one complex software product working within the context of a team
  • Strong C++/Python knowledge, Object Oriented Design principles and embedded development
  • Ability to handle aggressive deadlines with agility and results driven approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic e-mail systems
  • Ability to quickly develop and understand complex control systems including embedded real-time, application layers, CORBA interface and it’s associated hardware environment
  • Ability to independently determine technical solutions including test documentation
  • Technical expert of data management, TCP/IP and other similar communication protocols
  • Applies advanced knowledge of design methodologies
  • Demonstrates sophisticated knowledge in utilizing design engineering tools, systems analysis and design, and database management
  • Ability to follow a Software Development Process that includes elements of planning, estimation, gathering and analyzing requirements, developing concepts and designs, implementation, developing and executing test plans’ and engaging in work product reviews
  • Ability to interact effectively with other team members as well as individuals in other disciplines and organizations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Some travel required

Nice to have:

  • MS or Ph.D in relevant field is a plus
  • Experiencing developing CI/CD pipelines incorporating AI/LLM a plus
  • Hands on experience with refactoring for performance and scalability – complex multi-processor distributed control system is a plus
  • Curious and current on emerging software methodologies
  • Understanding of NLP techniques for building chatbots, sentiment analysis, and language models a plus
  • Proficiency in AI frameworks and libraries such as FTensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Hugging Face Transformers a plus
