Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer. Business: CIB - GPS Technology. HSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.

Job Responsibility:

Designing and implementing Java-based solutions for our EDI platform
Working with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope
Collaborating with team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects
Providing technical support and troubleshooting for our EDI platform
Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in Java development and EDI

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or a related field
Extensive knowledge of EDI concepts and protocols, including SAP IDOC, XML, and EDIFACT
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and web services
Proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, SQL, and database design
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
Proficient in Java programming and developing Java web applications
Understanding of object-oriented programming principles
Familiarity with software development tools and environments
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Experience with version control systems like Git
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
