Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute software tests
  • Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services
  • Test system modifications
  • Participate in product design
  • Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering
  • Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks
  • Document software and application defects
  • Identify critical business or product needs and propose and design product and/or software solutions to resolve them
  • Write product and architecture design proposals, present them to peers, receive and integrate appropriate feedback
  • Manage multiple cross-functional and cross-team relationships, ensuring high quality communications across groups
  • Identify and manage technical conflict within and across teams and functions
  • Appropriately defend and advocate for technical decisions using data
  • Coach and mentor junior software engineers in both technical and leadership skills
  • Participate in regular engineering on-call rotations, acting as first responder for critical production systems and services

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Requires completion of an undergraduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following: Java, Javascript, HTML, and CSS
  • Building maintainable and testable code bases including API design and unit testing techniques
  • GIT
  • Linux, UNIX or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands and shell scripting
  • Data structures and algorithms
