You will be responsible for designing and developing the next generation of enterprise applications that power the District’s most critical industries. In 2026, our "Microsoft Stack" isn't just about the backend; it's a full-stack journey using Blazor for interactive UIs, .NET Aspire for cloud-ready distribution, and Azure OpenAI to build intelligent features directly into the business workflow.

Job Responsibility:

  • Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain scalable web applications using C# 14 and ASP.NET Core, moving away from legacy patterns toward Minimal APIs and Clean Architecture
  • AI Feature Engineering: Integrate Azure OpenAI and Semantic Kernel to build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems that help users navigate complex internal datasets
  • Modern UI: Develop responsive, high-performance frontends using Blazor WebAssembly or MAUI for cross-platform desktop/mobile experiences
  • Cloud-Native Deployment: Architect services for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and manage "Infrastructure as Code" using Bicep or Terraform
  • Database Design: Optimize complex data structures in Azure SQL and Cosmos DB, ensuring high availability and sub-second query performance
  • Mentorship: Participate in peer code reviews and help junior developers adopt modern tools like GitHub Copilot responsibly and efficiently
