Your primary focus is on the development of new products and features and the implementation of improvements to existing ones with strong relations on the platforms we are working with. As a Software Engineer with focus on PHP, you will play a pivotal role in the development and optimization of our e-commerce platform integrations, ensuring seamless merchant experiences. We operate in a low-hierarchy, politics-free, and collaborative engineering environment where solving real customer problems is our top priority. Our technology stack leverages behavioral data, deep integrations, machine learning, and automated workflows, allowing brands to create fully personalized commerce experiences at scale.

Job Responsibility:

Take primary responsibility for developing and maintaining Nosto’s integrations with E-commerce Platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and adherence to best practices
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code by integrating our platforms with external services and APIs
Write thorough tests and apply systematic debugging to resolve issues
Contribute to the development of new products and features from concept to launch
Technical Guidance and Code Reviews for our Outsourcing Partners
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including architectural designs, API specifications, and operational guides
Engage in agile processes (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and ensure incremental delivery
Provide support for internal teams with platform-related questions and technical planning for internal projects
Engaging with platform partners and merchants, understanding their needs, resolving technical challenges, and implementing improvements
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment. Encourage open discussions within the team, valuing diverse opinions and constructive feedback

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant professional experience
Experience in PHP development
Knowledge in E-Commerce Platforms such as Magento, Shopware or any other
Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently
Fluent in spoken and written English

Nice to have:

Knowledge of GraphQL and various API technologies
Willingness to learn or work in Java is a plus
Understanding of systematic debugging, security best practices, and architectural principles
Commitment to delivering high-quality, well-tested code
