The ID Cache Team is part of Microsoft Security’s Identity division, focused on providing managed caching infrastructure for internal customers. We build and operate a cloud-like offering where our customers request a set of caching clusters and we take care of everything else. We are responsible for all parts of the system, including managing OS level and application updates, monitoring, lifecycle management and incident remediation. We build our platform at scale in public and sovereign clouds. Because of the scale and environmental diversity, automation and its continuous improvement is our daily bread. We use open-source tools, such as Ansible and Telegraf as well as Microsoft specific automation frameworks. We also develop from scratch components of our system where we have outgrown standard solutions.
