Software Engineer Vacancies (Front-End/Full-Stack) – New York (On-Site) – Competitive Salary + Equity + Opportunity to work with an Ambitious, Rapidly-Growing Start-Up. This young, early-stage start-up challenger are currently looking for Front-End/Full-Stack Engineers to join their small team and help drive the business forwards. This is an excellent opportunity for junior to mid-level Software Engineers with founding/small start-up experience to take that next step into an exciting position with a very well-run and ambitious organisation in an innovative, exciting space. This young and agile company are building cutting-edge AI platforms. They are in a unique space where there is an opportunity for them to gain significant market share very quickly.

Job Responsibility:

Build and refine sleek, high-quality user interfaces from low-fidelity wireframes
Implement top-tier CSS to create exceptional, pixel-perfect experiences
Optimize front-end performance to ensure seamless interactions
Work closely with design and engineering to bring ideas to life with precision and speed
Contribute to our product’s core architecture and front-end best practices
Build and ship full-stack applications
Develop and refine high-quality front-end interfaces using React and TypeScript
Design and optimize back-end systems for performance, security, and scalability
Work closely with design and product to turn ideas into production-ready items
Take ownership of vital technical decisions, ensuring maintainability and long-term impact

Requirements:

React + TypeScript
Expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of state management and performance optimization
Strong experience with Tailwind CSS or SASS/SCSS, delivering refined, polished, and visually sharp UIs
Proven ability to architect and scale complex Next.js applications, leveraging features like App Router, SSR, SSG, and ISR
Familiarity with fetch management libraries like react-query or similar
Hands-on experience with CSS animations, transitions, and layout techniques to create smooth, engaging interfaces
A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality front-end development work
A keen eye for design, detail, and user experience, ensuring seamless interactions
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-performance startup environment, iterating quickly on new ideas
A good portfolio or GitHub highlighting full-stack development expertise. Proficient in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern front-end/back-end frameworks
Experience designing and working with scalable databases and APIs
Deep understanding of performance optimization, security, and best practices
Thrives in a fast-moving, high-energy startup environment
Mid-level to Senior-level with start-up experience (5+ years)
Started in big tech or well-trained environment, transitioned to start-up
Hands-on, adaptable, product-minded

Nice to have:

Experience leading large-scale migrations to Next.js, designing and implementing solutions that make full use of its strengths
Deep knowledge of caching mechanisms and CDN integrations to enhance the performance and scalability of Next.js applications worldwide
Experience implementing sophisticated internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) strategies for global user bases in Next.js projects
R3F (React Three Fiber) or Three.js (for immersive 3D experiences)
