Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer (Big data) to participate in technology domain projects, identify service improvements, design and code solutions, and provide technical expertise while ensuring compliance with security requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain
Installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements
Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects
Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges
Present recommendations for resolving issues
Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Requirements:

2+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent
Overall 2+ years IT industry experience with all phases of SDLC
2+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
2+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
2+ years of experience in Spark application development and implementation
Strong technical knowledge in Spark
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Hadoop Ecosystem and Big data technologies like Hive, Kafka, Hbase, NIFI
Data processing framework experience such as Spark
Hands-on experience with Data modeling, normalization, processing with Spark and SQL
Spark performance tuning knowledge
Excellent knowledge of OOPS concepts and familiarity in using Java
Experience using version control tools like GIT
CI/CD process experience
Build tools experience like Gradle and Maven
Strong knowledge of Database concepts
UNIX bash scripting experience

Nice to have:

Knowledge with JOB schedulers like Autosys
Knowledge of docker images, containers, and container management framework like Kubernetes
Experience with messaging services like JMS/Kafka
2+ years experience working in Control Room Surveillance, Trade Surveillance or Compliance Risk
Financial Services domain experience
1+ years of experience designing and implementing process solutions for automation
Experience working with onsite/offshore teams
