Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data – structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric. The App and Data Development team within Microsoft Fabric is dedicated to empowering both application and data developers with cutting-edge tools and seamless experiences. Focused on the integration of AI across the development lifecycle, this team builds intelligent capabilities that simplify and accelerate app and data workflows. By offering unified interfaces, robust APIs, and AI-assisted features, the team ensures that developers can easily create, manage, and scale data-driven applications within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
Job Responsibility:
Design and implement services to enable real time, highly scalable, performant, and sustainable solutions
Deliver well-tested features across different services and platforms
Use engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle to establish maintainable, reliable, and secure systems
Collaborate with teammates in various roles to plan and execute on key deliverables
Participate in rotating livesite shifts, working on call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions
Take ownership of service health including monitoring, metrics, telemetry. Identify and implement areas for improvement in the live-site process and tools
Innovate for both customer use cases and overall health of the service

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline OR equivalent experience
Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
Experience in developing services with Containers, Serverless functions and Databases is preferred
Cross-team collaboration experience for feature delivery and livesite issues preferred
Full stack development for end-to-end feature design and development experience preferred
Developer and user experiences for SaaS applications experience is preferred
