Job Description:

Aquila Technology is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in software design, development, integration, testing, and analysis to support the development of network protocols for tactical systems. This role requires a motivated individual who thrives in a rapid-prototyping environment with fast design-debug cycles.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and test software solutions for tactical network protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality software
  • Utilize C, C++ and Python as primary development languages, with the ability to quickly adapt to other scripting languages as needed
  • Apply expertise in IP routing protocols, multicast, and socket programming to develop robust solutions
  • Work in a native Linux environment, including Linux kernel networking, OS networking configuration, and Linux Containers (e.g., Docker, CORE)
  • Proactively engage with team members to understand and resolve challenges and make collaborative decisions

Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Must be US Citizen
  • 2 years – Networking architectures and protocols
  • 2 years – IP Routing Protocols
  • 2 years – Linux Kernel Networking
  • 2 years – Network Protocol Design
  • 2 years – Software development of IP routing protocols (multicast, socket programming, etc.)
  • 2 years – Development experience on a Linux platform
  • 2 years – Programming Languages (e.g., Perl, Python, C/C++)
