Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our Swedish Engineering team. You will play an important role in building up the technological backbone of Clear Street. In this role you will work closely with our business partners, build and design new solutions, and support the current business. As we continue to build the team we are looking for full stack engineers, however, we are open to either back-end, front-end engineers, or dev-ops engineers that have some exposure and a desire to work end-to-end across projects.

Job Responsibility:

Build and design new solutions
Support the current business
Work closely with our business partners
Build both the client side, to ensure usability and easy navigation, and the server side elements such as data storage, security and overall performance

Requirements:

At least one (1) year or more of hands-on professional experience designing and developing mission critical distributed systems with high requirements on performance, resiliency and consistency
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Financial Engineering or a related field
Experience in troubleshooting system performance and take corrective action as necessary
Experience in supporting and running systems in a production environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Good understanding of the financial markets, the different asset classes and the unique technical requirements in building financial systems is preferred
Required experience in Java and Typescript/Javascript

Nice to have:

Preferred, but not required, experience in Clear Street technology Stack: Golang, Python, React, AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Docker
Good understanding of the financial markets, the different asset classes and the unique technical requirements in building financial systems
