Job Description

In service of this goal we have multiple high visibility, high impact senior engineering roles available in our Risk teams, which will put you right at the heart of some of the company’s most important investments and challenges. Our teams work horizontally across the whole company, identifying emerging patterns and creating solutions for controls that allow the company to move fast, turning Meta’s compliance strategy into a competitive advantage. You might find yourself working on a company-wide response to a new law, supporting product teams across Meta on both technical strategy and execution. Or you may develop a deep expertise in a particular theme of government regulation, shaping the company technical direction and developing centralized systems and tooling to allow the business to execute at pace whilst staying on top of our obligations.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive technical strategy for company trajectory-altering problems, negotiating the approach with executive leadership and developing the execution plan with partner orgs, and ensuring we meet privacy commitments while optimizing for company efficiency
  • Establish technical direction for new Risk teams in our most highly pressured or ambiguous areas
  • Accelerate our ability to meet privacy or regulatory commitments by developing and applying novel technologies
  • Partner and effectively communicate with teams across Meta to navigate complex technical trade offs in their decision making
  • Identify and execute upon opportunities to help the company move fast through centralization of tooling and systems
  • Embrace a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are operationalized at a very fast pace

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact
  • Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions
  • Experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations
  • Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap in which shorter-term projects ladder to the long-term vision
  • Experience in driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts
  • Significant programming experience
  • Extensive experience with building large-scale applications, or similar experience
  • Experience with web or mobile technologies
