Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer Team Leader for Global-e’s core R&D department. At Global-e, teams are cross-functional and have full ownership of their domain. We aim for continuous delivery, a smooth developer experience, top-tier code, high-quality processes, and an excellent, outcome-driven engineering culture. Looking for a Team Lead to own the technical roadmap and execution of our Finance Domain. You will lead a high-performing distributed team in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. You are the bridge between complex financial logic, product aspirations, and engineering excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive Execution: Lead a distributed team of 6-10 engineers (distributed team) to deliver high-quality, scalable financial services
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work daily with Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical specs, and with other Team Leads to ensure cross-domain architectural alignment
  • Mentorship & Culture: Build a culture of accountability and high performance. Conduct deep code reviews and drive the adoption of best practices in distributed systems
  • Take full ownership of processes and features, including architectural design, software design, implementation, Testing and observability
  • Develop and implement software development best practices
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure we deliver high-quality, maintainable code
  • Mentor Junior and Mid-level engineers and play a significant role in their growth
  • Help to adopt the DevOps culture, own your code approach, and improve observability

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, preferably in a global/distributed setup
  • Deep understanding of Fintech or E-commerce backend systems (Ledgers, Payment , Tax Engines, or Transactional Integrity and Financial reports )
  • Strong background in .NET / C# and distributed architectures
  • Hands-on experience with Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and high-throughput microservices
  • Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases at scale
  • Expert at navigating the SDLC in a High-Pace environment, balancing rapid feature delivery with long-term system stability
  • Excellent communication skills in English , mitigation capabilities , ability to context switch
