As a software engineer in the Wearables System Health Team at Reality Labs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality for Meta’s next-generation wearable devices. This role sits at the intersection of hardware and software, focusing on building robust infrastructure and tooling that enable seamless device automation, testing, and continuous integration for performance, power efficiency and stability.
Job Responsibility:
Develop CI/CD infrastructure and automation solutions for performance, power efficiency and stability testing for embedded devices
Identify and resolve quality issues across device hardware and software stacks
Make measurable improvements to signal quality and regression detection capabilities
Develop reusable software components for interfacing with back-end platforms
Establish ownership of components, features, or systems with expert end-to-end understanding
Create tools that improve productivity for broad teams in scale
Develop unit, integration and end-to-end tests for devices
triage test flakiness and noise issues
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Understanding of automated test pipelines and basic troubleshooting for device software
Experience in improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes
Experience in building and shipping high quality work and achieving high reliability
Nice to have:
Experience in embedded devices, Linux/Android, device farm/lab management, remote device orchestration, performance profiling and hardware/software integration
Experience in designing, analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
Experience with developing, debugging, and shipping software products on large code bases that span platforms and tools
