Our team is seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer in the St. Louis, Missouri area to develop, maintain, and enhance software applications within a dynamic technology environment. Job Responsibility:
Design, code, test, and deploy Java-based applications and services to meet business requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, quality assurance, and other developers to deliver robust software solutions
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices to ensure consistent, maintainable, and efficient code
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Keep current with technological advancements and industry trends
recommend process improvements and new tools/frameworks where appropriate
Document application features, architecture, and workflow to maintain clarity across development initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Proficiency in Java, object-oriented programming, and common frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
Familiarity with tools for version control (such as Git) and build automation
Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms is a plus
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Nice to have:
Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, React) beneficial but not required
Exposure to Agile development methodologies
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
