Job Description:

Our team is seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer in the St. Louis, Missouri area to develop, maintain, and enhance software applications within a dynamic technology environment. Job Responsibility:

  • Design, code, test, and deploy Java-based applications and services to meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, quality assurance, and other developers to deliver robust software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices to ensure consistent, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
  • Keep current with technological advancements and industry trends
  • recommend process improvements and new tools/frameworks where appropriate
  • Document application features, architecture, and workflow to maintain clarity across development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Java, object-oriented programming, and common frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)
  • Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
  • Familiarity with tools for version control (such as Git) and build automation
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms is a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, React) beneficial but not required
  • Exposure to Agile development methodologies
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
