We are looking for a Software Development Engineer III to join our Data Platform team. In this role, you will be a technical leader, responsible for designing and implementing major components of our core platform. You'll drive architectural decisions, mentor other engineers, and ensure our services are scalable, reliable, and performant. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on our engineering organization and the future of our technology.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable backend services using Java or Golang
  • Own the technical vision for key areas of our data platform, making critical decisions on architecture, data models, and system design
  • Champion best practices for code quality, testing, and system reliability, establishing high standards for the team
  • Act as a technical mentor for SDE 1 and SDE 2 engineers, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence
  • Work with high autonomy to deconstruct ambiguous business problems into concrete, scalable services

Requirements:

  • 4-6+ years of professional back-end engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in Java / GoLang and a mastery of distributed systems principles and microservice architecture
  • Extensive experience designing and operating complex systems on a major cloud provider (AWS preferred)
  • Proven ability in database design, performance tuning, and data modeling at scale (MongoDB preferred)
  • A track record of technical leadership, including project ownership and mentorship
