Software Engineer II

Sales agent is a flagship offering built on Microsoft Agent 365, building the next generation Agentic experience that powers many of the largest businesses in the world. This team is rapidly building a suite of agents for enteprise sales and enterprise service customers to planet scale workloads. These agents empower organizations to confidently deploy, govern, and manage agents at scale, and realize end value with intuitive low-touch customization on native office channels like outlook and teams. Microsoft’s Small and Medium Enterprises & Channel (SME&C) organizations are early adopters for the Sales Agent. Current focus is to engage underserved SMB customers with limited prior Microsoft engagement, and accelerate a hyper personalized, high-quality experience and relationship with Microsoft and its cloud solutions. As an Software Engineer II - AI in the Microsoft Sales Agent team, you will apply both software engineering and AI expertise to design and implement intelligent solutions within Agent 365. You’ll collaborate with business and technology leaders, internal users, and partners to build scalable, production-ready systems that leverage AI to solve complex business requests. In this role, you are expected to bring software engineering fundamentals—architecture, AI assisted coding, testing, and deployment—while also selecting and integrating the most effective AI models and frameworks to deliver measurable impact and innovation. Running evals to measure and improve end to end quality is intrinsic to the new development paradigm.
