Within Azure Data, the business intelligence team builds and maintains Power BI which is the undisputed leader in BI tool in the industry today and serves as the bridge between data professionals & Office users. Power BI’s core value proposition is to enable end users to get answers & insights from their data through data visualization. We are looking for Software Engineer II to join the team developing features for Power BI Copilot and Microsoft Fabric integration with Power BI. We design, develop, ship and maintain full-stack scenarios, including Data Exploration, Answering Data Question and Verified Answers for Copilot.
Job Responsibility:
Design, develop, and deliver innovative and impactful features within Power BI
Work on coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process
Collaborate with other team members to ensure that our software meets the needs of our customers
Continuously improve your skills and knowledge to stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices
Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Nice to have:
Demonstrated experience with Natural Language processing, including use of Large Language Models
