Job Description:

Software Quality Engineer II in the Azure Storage team building, improving and supporting highly scalable, performant services that deliver highly reliable, secure and available access to storage for customers. Face challenges of monitoring, analyzing, and designing for ever-growing data needs of customers and for ensuring data privacy, protection and compliance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify the scope of testing to create a quality plan for multiple features
  • Create commitments for test plans in multiple features to estimate the scope of work and agree on requirements
  • Work with partners across teams by creating test plans for multiple features and contributes effort to get test plans for a feature reviewed by other teams
  • Work within multiple features or a broad/complex feature area to identify areas where additional exploration, development, or testing is required
  • Help build complex custom visualizations to ensure product testing coverage
  • Contribute to efforts to apply best practices in automation to create and implement automated testing procedures using scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python)
  • Create automated regression release testing when possible
  • Maintain and apply automation tools and encourages team members to apply automation throughout the testing process
  • Write code or leverage tools and technology to eliminate repetitive tasks to reduce manual work for multiple features

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years software industry experience in system testing (involving networking / storage / virtualization product line) with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 4+ years software industry experience in system testing (involving networking / storage / virtualization product line) with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience
