The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Our mission is to build the data platform for the AI era—powering a new class of data-first applications and fostering a strong data-driven culture. Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. Microsoft’s India Development Center (IDC) is a key driver of innovation for Azure Data, SQL, and AI-powered services. As a Software Engineer II, you will build and operate large-scale, distributed systems that enable intelligent data-driven applications and next-generation technologies. In this role engineers take end-to-end ownership of features and subsystems, contribute to system design, and influence technical decisions within their team scope. You will work on Azure Data platforms (SQL) and increasingly on AI-native systems, including agentic AI architectures, helping Microsoft’s data + AI ecosystem.
