As a Software Engineer II in Viva Glint, you will join a team working on AI, analytics and reporting, big data and Viva app integrations. You will build scalable and performant services using engineering best practices and work hands-on with analytics and reporting systems written in Java, and offline data systems all running on Azure. You will work to evolve the product with a customer-first approach and drive innovation, empathizing with our end-users’ needs and engaging to help define their key experiences.
Job Responsibility:
Works with stakeholders to determine service and user requirements for a set of features, including but not limited to analytics, reporting and big data systems
Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight
Creates and implements code to enable Viva Glint service or feature, reusing code as applicable
Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation
Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Nice to have:
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience
Experience developing full stack applications using Web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, React, CSS, Typescript on the front end
