You will participate in full-cycle software development, from concepts to lab and offsite integration and evaluation. This involves developing new ARV features, leading small projects, mentoring teammates, and directly interfacing with customers.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, integrate, and evaluate software for the ARV across the product lifecycle
Execute complex software engineering tasks using technical acumen and problem-solving skills
Conduct technical reviews of work products
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership for small development teams
Interface directly with customers and participate in field testing
Support offsite integration and evaluation activities (travel 10–15%)
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD security clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in CS, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PhD a plus)
Strong experience with embedded, robotics, autonomous, or automotive systems
Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Java
Experience with shell scripting and developing system interfaces (Network/Serial/CAN)
Deep understanding of OOA/OOD principles
Git or Mercurial workflow, CI/CD pipelines, and defect tracking tools
Familiarity with robotics: sensors, actuators, algorithms, field integration and test
Experience or familiarity with MIL-STD-882E, UML/MBSE tools (MagicDraw a plus)
Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
Comfortable in Unix-based development environments
Nice to have:
Experience in autonomous vehicle or robotics industry
Experience in field-testing and system integration
Hands-on experience with MagicDraw or similar modeling tools
