ABOUT THE JOB: Responsible for designing and developing Flight Management Systems software based upon legacy NGFMS product line functionality with transformations required to operate within the NGA FMS Product for Part 23 Class 1 / 2, Part 23 Class 3 / 4, and Part 25 aircraft.

Responsible for designing and developing Flight Management Systems software based upon legacy NGFMS product line functionality with transformations required to operate within the NGA FMS Product for Part 23 Class 1 / 2, Part 23 Class 3 / 4, and Part 25 aircraft.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related technical area
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded software development for avionics
  • Experience developing software for 1 or more FMS functional areas: Performance
  • Predictions
  • Flight Planning
  • Nav
  • Lateral Guidance
  • Vertical Guidance
  • User Interface
  • Datalink
  • Redundancy Management
  • I/O
  • Understanding of the DO-178B/C software development lifecycle
  • Experience in design of software architecture
