Job Description:

Software Engineer role focused on shaping the future of IKEA Food experience through digital solutions. The position involves working on cloud-based solutions that power IKEA's business, with a focus on creating meaningful, sustainable customer experiences both in stores and in homes. The role requires developing high-quality applications using modern technologies while collaborating across teams in an agile environment.

Job Responsibility:

Taking ownership of delivering high-quality software quickly, reliably, and safely
Working in agile teams to design, develop, and maintain products and solutions
Applying and promoting modern software engineering principles
Providing guidance and support to fellow developers
Contributing to development standards evolution and exploring new technologies
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define design specifications
Contributing to organizational best practices from design patterns to clean code principles
Identifying and integrating third-party open-source tools where needed
Prototyping new ideas individually or with other teams

Requirements:

Academic background in computer science or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience with modern technologies and best practices
Experience in Agile and DevOps environments
Experience with microservices technology (Docker, Kubernetes, especially in GCP)
Experience building applications using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Java, Node.js, MVC frameworks, and SQL
Experience with CDI and CI/CD processes
Ability to apply modern software engineering principles (DRY, TDD/BDD, continuous integration, automated testing, pair programming, code reviews)
Experience working in agile teams and collaborating across capability areas
