Software Engineer (Backend)

• Design, build, and maintain backend systems that power products
• Work within a self-organising agile squad aligned to key business goals
• Contribute across the full product lifecycle
• Design and develop backend software using established architecture and best practices
• Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines, Principal Engineers, and Product Managers
• Improve and extend existing systems
• Create new services to support data collection and analysis
• Deliver new functionality to users on a frequent basis
• Embrace test-driven development and automated testing
• Participate in agile planning and delivery processes
• Troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and performance of platforms
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and apply them where they add value

• Proven commercial experience in .NET development
• Strong understanding of frameworks, tools, and best practices for high-quality backend systems
• Comfortable working in agile environments and applying modern product development lifecycle practices
• Experience writing and applying algorithms with an understanding of performance and time complexity
• Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and apply them productively
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive, can-do attitude
• Willingness to challenge existing approaches

Experience in full-stack development, including technologies such as React, Swift, or Kotlin
