Job Description

We are hiring for a full-stack engineer to work on the recently launched Aiven application runtime: Aiven Apps, which enables users to build complete solutions in Aiven that encompass data and application runtime. We are looking for product-minded engineers who have a keen interest in the business and user behavior, are proactive with product development ideas and tradeoffs, and want to understand the “Why?” behind all things. As a product-minded engineer you communicate well with engineers and non-engineers alike and are interested in how other functions work. Our teams are proud of what we build and value curiosity, healthy debate, and exchange of ideas. We expect you to be endlessly curious, to learn more and to improve our codebase.

Job Responsibility

  • Work on features end-to-end, from Console UX to database schemas
  • Help investigate and resolve customer issues
  • Actively participate in technical discussions and perform PR reviews
  • Contribute to technical planning and backlog management

Requirements

  • Experience building web-facing applications end-to-end, including everything between the browser and the database
  • Strong development skills in TypeScript and Python
  • Familiar with running workloads in cloud infrastructure
  • Fluent communication skills in English, written and verbal
