Job Responsibility

  • Develop, create, and modify computer applications
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design
  • Provide support and administration of computer applications and software programs
  • Contribute and collaborate with team members to discuss and implement service improvements, research new tools and services to solve sophisticated problems
  • Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach—teams build and maintain their own software, including participating in second layer support rotations
  • Create and handle changes for the Application Releases
  • Create and handle change requests with space/abend fix
  • Prepare test environments and perform data refresh
  • Support Application Programmers during testing phase of database applications
  • Fix batch job failures
  • Schedule, Monitor software for Development, Test and Production environments
  • Work with Online and Stand-alone utilities based on the requirement
  • Responsible for checkouts for Version upgrade/Maintenance
  • Decommission of application objects as per requirement
  • Automate database wide health checks to alert via email

Requirements

  • 9+ Yrs Experience
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related degree

  • Revisit current architecture and make recommendations for any improvements or gaps in the designs.

  • Help with any slow queries or other optimizations that can increase the performance of our databases.
