Join us as Software Development Lead Engineer based in Pune to Develop and delivering on software tasks related to Automation and IoT. Working throughout the lifetime of our product, on development, standardization or customer projects professionally and to the customers' expectations.
Job Responsibility:
Define and own end-to-end system and solution architectures for multiple automation and digital projects, from concept through commissioning and lifecycle support
Provide architectural guidance for SIEMENS-based automation systems, ensuring compliance with standards such as ISA S88, PackML, and modular design principles
Review and govern PLC, HMI, and software designs, ensuring consistency, reusability, scalability, and adherence to architectural standards
Lead architectural decision-making for control systems, IoT integration, data flows, and enterprise connectivity, balancing technical trade-offs and business needs
Design and guide the integration of automation systems with industrial networks, IoT platforms, and enterprise systems
Define architecture principles for web-based HMIs, real-time monitoring, and secure data exchange across systems
Establish and enforce cybersecurity-by-design practices, ensuring solutions comply with applicable cybersecurity and data protection standards
Ensure data integrity, availability, and security across automation and IoT frameworks
Work closely with cross-functional and international teams, providing architectural oversight across multiple concurrent projects
support on-site engagements as needed
Act as a technical mentor and coach to engineering teams, promoting architectural thinking, best practices, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with project and product leadership to align architecture roadmaps with delivery timelines, budgets, and long-term strategy
Support Agile execution by participating in sprint planning, architectural reviews, and retrospectives, while ensuring architectural consistency across teams
Anticipate future technology needs and drive innovation in automation, digitalization, and system integration
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in automation engineering, system design, and/or industrial software architecture
Strong hands-on and architectural experience with PLC and HMI systems, with the ability to review and guide implementation rather than execute all development personally
Proven experience defining and applying automation and software standards (ISA S88, PackML, modular architectures, OOP)
Solid understanding of industrial cybersecurity standards and secure system design
Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, DevOps) in multi-team environments
Strong background in industrial communication protocols, networking, and system integration
Experience designing or governing web-based HMIs and IoT-enabled automation solutions
Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong cross-cultural collaboration skills
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
