We are seeking Software Development Engineer Apprentice to join our dynamic team and embark on an exciting journey of professional growth and skill development. As a Software Development Engineer Apprentice, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside seasoned software engineering experts, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovation environment. Your role will involve contributing to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions that drive our business forward. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be exposed to a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and methodologies, allowing you to cultivate a well-rounded skill set. From mastering the fundamentals of software engineering to exploring emerging technologies, you will have the chance to expand your knowledge and push the boundaries of your abilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimise solutions

Requirements

  • Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
  • Have the right to live and work in Wales (if you are on a visa, this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in Wales for the entire duration of the program)
  • Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
  • Be a resident of Wales for the entire duration of the program
  • Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later
  • Successfully complete any additional assessments required by our training provider as part of the recruitment process
  • Have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
  • Have 3 A levels or equivalent qualifications at grade C or above, including one in a STEM subject
  • Please note, if you have received educational qualifications outside of the UK then we will require a Statement of Comparability to confirm your eligibility for the scheme. Please ensure you obtain one during the application process, through UK ENIC: https://www.enic.org.uk/
  • Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility and offers are subject to funding approval
  • PLEASE NOTE: This position is a 42 month fixed-term contract. You must NOT already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship
  • This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some or little knowledge/experience of the occupation
