Job Description:

Join CVS Health as a Software Development Engineer and role model to peers and clients in AS/400 IT application development. Within the AS/400 application development area you will be responsible for analysis, design, development, testing and review to ensure adherence to quality requirements and ensure the product works. Over the time you will be aligned to specific functional areas that you will work closely with the related SMEs to gain the knowledge and support both functionally and technically as part of RxClaim adjudication application.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analysis, Development and Estimation activities related to designate project/functional area in IBM AS/400 (IBM i) environment
  • Coordinate with offshore team members, resolve issues in production, prepare and execute project plans
  • Perform requirement and gap analysis, raise change control to move changes to user acceptance testing server and then to production server, deploy changes to production per implementation plan
  • Make certain appropriate and effective data integration across multiple applications
  • Create/review technical solutions and document projects, for example: Analysis & Designs Program specifications, Code Reviews and Test plan
  • Help define standards / methodologies / guidelines and ensure compliance while aligning solutions to the RxClaim application architecture

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience and a deep understanding of AS/400 application development, maintenance and support
  • 3+ years of application development experience in RPG, RPGLE and CL
  • Synon2/E (aka COOL 2/E)
  • 3+ years of IBM i SQL experience
  • 3+ Experience working on SDLC and Agile methodologies

Nice to have:

  • Demonstrated successful completion of several medium to large scope projects
  • proficiency working on all phases of SDLC and with problem determination and resolution through research and fact finding
  • Experience with RxClaim or other PBM Adjudication system is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
