Corporate Information Technology (CIT) – Operations Portfolio is seeking a Database Developer with strong hands-on experience in PL/SQL programming and a solid understanding of database design principles. Experience in enterprise data modeling and familiarity with cloud technologies (preferably Azure) will be considered a plus.
Job Responsibility
Develop, enhance, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts to support system functionality and business requirements
Work with relational database platforms to design efficient and high-performance database structures, schemas, and objects
Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models as needed
collaborate with Data Modelers to support end-to-end data architecture
Document Low-Level Designs, Unit Test Plans, and Unit Test Cases
Collaborate with development teams to design, review, develop, and test PL/SQL components and related database objects
Perform bug fixes and ensure integrity of database logic across environments
Support integration testing to validate compatibility of database components with application modules
Strictly adhere to organizational coding standards, best practices, and performance guidelines
Assist with documentation and required artifacts for OIS clearance
Participate in SCRUM ceremonies
work closely with onsite and offshore teams
Perform timely resolution of issues and conduct root cause analysis
Proactively manage work items, timelines, and dependencies
communicate risks and trade-offs when necessary
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience
Preferably 2+ yrs experience of working in Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and a virtualization tool like Dremio
Hands-on experience in managing and processing large volumes of data, with a strong understanding of data structures, indexing, and optimization techniques
Proven track record of performance tuning for data models, queries, and related processes to ensure optimal system performance and scalability
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to articulate to all project members and stakeholders
Team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
Must be organized and good at managing deliverables, meeting notes, presentations, and other documentation/communications
Hands-on experience with SQL tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and bulk data processing
Exposure to cloud-based data movement and analysis workflows (preferably Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, etc.) is an advantage
