Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our innovative team at AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge software solutions for critical defence and space applications.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers, to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and support
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to established coding standards and best practices
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to design specifications
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to defence and space software development
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and test plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in software development, preferably within a professional environment
  • Strong experience with Java (17+)
  • Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of software testing principles and experience with unit and integration testing
