Job Description:

This role involves working as a Software Developer on large-scale enterprise IT transformation projects. The developer is responsible for translating technical specifications into robust, tested applications using Cognos and SQL. The position requires hands-on development, configuration, customization, and integration of reporting systems with external applications, all within a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in case management systems and extensive experience in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and full-cycle implementation phases of Cognos solutions. Collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams is essential to ensure the successful delivery of scalable and compliant solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Design, develop, and implement Cognos-based solutions that meet technical and business requirements
Provide end-to-end solution design, unit testing, and code development aligned with architectural standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
Conduct code reviews and ensure quality through testing and documentation
Contribute to managing risks and troubleshooting issues during implementation
Maintain and enhance integrations with external systems, ensuring scalability and performance
Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials for team members
Report on project progress, risks, and issues while adhering to project milestones

Requirements:

7–10 years of experience as a Senior Cognos Developer in enterprise environments
Hands-on expertise in Cognos and SQL development
Proven track record in large-scale implementations and transformation initiatives
In-depth experience with case management system integration
Proficiency in conducting fit-gap analysis, requirement gathering, and solution design
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Familiarity with agile development and documentation practices
Ability to lead and support development teams, ensuring adherence to standards
