Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Southern California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical application development and production support initiatives while working onsite four days a week. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in automotive finance systems and a strong ability to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and support applications for large-scale projects, ensuring high-quality solutions align with business needs
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, including troubleshooting mainframe online and batch processing errors
  • Analyze and improve daily and monthly batch processes to enhance performance and reduce critical path time
  • Conduct impact analysis across multiple platforms and applications to identify potential risks and dependencies
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for estimates, design specifications, and development processes
  • Utilize technologies such as mainframe systems, MQ, and DB2 to support system functionality and integration
  • Provide on-call support during off-hours to address production batch issues

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the automotive finance industry, with a solid understanding of financial services and loan administration
