Job Description

Our client, Salt of the Earth Natural, is a family-owned, B Corp certified manufacturer with a global presence, supplying products to over 35 countries. Alongside its manufacturing operations, the business is developing its own end-to-end software platform covering CRM, stock forecasting, pricing and operational systems. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf tools, the team is focused on building scalable, intelligent solutions that support real-world processes across the organisation. They are now seeking an AI-Assisted Software Developer to join the team and play a key role in designing, building and evolving these systems.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, build and iterate internal software tools supporting business operations
  • Work across multiple departments to understand challenges and develop practical solutions
  • Develop and maintain applications using modern frameworks such as React / Next.js
  • Integrate systems with third-party platforms including ERP, logistics and payment solutions
  • Use AI coding tools as a core part of development workflows
  • Contribute to the development of a headless ecommerce platform
  • Write clean, maintainable and secure code following best practice
  • Manage version control and collaboration through GitHub
  • Support ongoing system improvements, performance and scalability
  • Contribute ideas and take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery

Requirements

  • Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and modern web frameworks
  • Experience using AI coding tools within a development workflow
  • Proficient in Git and collaborative development practices
  • Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or similar
  • Understanding of software architecture, testing and maintainability
  • Awareness of application security and data protection principles
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and improve business processes
  • Comfortable working autonomously within a small, agile team

Nice to have
