Job Description:

We are seeking a software cost and technology specialist to join the Design to Cost team within Direct-to-Consumer (D2C). This role focuses on end-to-end software and service cost analysis, supporting commercial decision-making, supplier negotiations, and steering committee outcomes. You will work closely with Supply Chain Management and Group Technology stakeholders, translating technical software requirements into robust, bottom-up cost models that drive transparency, efficiency, and value.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct end-to-end software and service should-cost analyses by identifying, assessing, and modelling key cost drivers
  • define and size software technical specifications, assessing requirement quality and maturity
  • perform function point analysis and process mapping to identify inefficiencies and optimisation opportunities
  • build clean-sheet cost models covering software delivery, testing, implementation, and nearshore or field-based service support
  • register savings opportunities, set cost-reduction ambitions, and support steering committee decisions in tender processes
  • act as a subject matter expert in supplier negotiations, working alongside Category Managers to achieve best-in-class commercial outcomes

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related discipline
  • experienced in software functionality, application development concepts, and Agile delivery approaches
  • technically fluent, with the ability to understand software architectures, cost drivers, and service delivery models without needing to code
  • comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders and presenting complex technical topics to non-technical audiences, including senior leaders
  • analytical, structured, and pragmatic, with strong problem-solving capability and a continuous-improvement mindset
