QTEC Aerospace is seeking a SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS TEST ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
Job Responsibility
Participate in software design and peer reviews
develop test specifications and infrastructure
execute manual and automated test and perform analysis of program implementation in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations (e.g., Internal Messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, failover processing)
Occasional travel between Colorado Springs facilities and sites and between Colorado Springs and Huntsville, AL
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with 5 years of relevant work experience
or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience
or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.)
Possess knowledge and experience in testing and evaluating a software-intensive system in a variety of test environments/venues, using Agile development
Prior experience in an Agile development process
Prior experience testing and verifying requirements for software applications and systems
Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data
Development of action plans based on data analysis
Documenting software deficiency reports
Presenting analysis results and plans of action orally and/or in written format (e.g., slides, annotated slides, test report)
Automated testing for requirement verification
Performance requirement and verification analysis
Verification of ICD and interface requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
Self-motivated and customer-oriented
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance
