Job Description

We are recruiting for a Soft Services Manager to oversee a high-profile cleaning contract based in Cambridgeshire. Job Responsibility

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence
  • Driving contract performance through effective budget management, commercial control, and achievement of profitability targets
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services and secure additional works
  • Leading, developing, and motivating on-site teams to deliver outstanding service and achieve performance objectives
  • Monitoring KPIs, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring health & safety and compliance standards are consistently met.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing cleaning or soft services contracts within Facilities Management
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, costs, contract performance, and identifying growth opportunities
  • Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A track record of improving service delivery, operational performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Experience leading large teams, supported by strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Prioritizes work based on the needs of the client and for the on-time completion of all work, as well as all documentation involved
  • Ensures all subcontractors receive required training to perform the subcontracted services in accordance will all Amentum and client safety rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Scheduling, planning, documentation, performance and reporting with Amentum management team and client
  • Ensures soft services are run efficiently, maintains good customer relationships, and aims to exceed the customers’ expectations
  • Coordinates final approval of facility designs
  • Formulates operating rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Inspects plant facilities or reviews inspection reports, to determine repairs, replacement, or improvements required
  • Clearly understands Amentum scope of work and contract requirements for the area of responsibility
  • Supports Amentum management as the designated Amentum agent for all soft services discussions and negotiations with client
