We are working with a well-established international organic food business to appoint a Soft Commodities Trader. This is a hands-on, commercially driven role offering the opportunity to grow and shape an international trading desk within a challenging environment. You will take ownership of end-to-end trading across soft commodities, working closely with suppliers, customers, and the commercial team to drive profitability and expansion. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and wants to make a tangible impact on global trading performance.
Job Responsibility
Drive end-to-end trading across procurement, sales, and contract negotiation
Build and grow international supplier and customer relationships
Manage margins, risk, and market opportunities across soft commodities
Work cross-functionally with commercial and operational teams
Identify and deliver new trading opportunities and market insights
Represent the business at client meetings, trade fairs, and industry events
Requirements
7+ years’ experience in soft commodities trading, ideally within food or Agri commodities
Strong commercial mindset with proven negotiation capability
Experience in international trade and import/export environments
