Job Description:

Affinity Partnerships are working alongside a school in Tewkesbury, who are looking for a full-time Sociology Teacher. This role will involve planning and marking, and delivering lessons to KS3 and KS4. This role will be paid to scale and is to start from the end of March and is until 17th July. The successful candidate should be passionate about teaching and positively influencing the lives of their students.

Job Responsibility:

Planning and marking
Delivering lessons to KS3 and KS4
Deliver consistently strong teaching within their subject area
Support the needs of all learners, including SEND, pupil premium, looked‑after children and high attainers
Communicate effectively, embrace change and build positive relationships with students, staff and families
Contribute to enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom
Demonstrate strong professional practice and support the development of others

Requirements:

Qualified Teachers Status
Have a sound understanding of Secondary Education
Have excellent literacy, Numeracy, and communication skills
Have confidence supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humour
Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties and other SEND students, both in smalls groups and 1:1
Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job
