Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly, team-focused Society Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with providing customer service and handling money. The successful candidate will also be responsible for accurately counting and reconciling casino cash. The position requires strong attention to detail.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist guests with Table Game cash outs
  • Accurately count and verify revenue, ensuring all money is properly accounted for
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols
  • Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist with the main telephone line, reservations, event booking inquiries, and other guest-related services
  • Adaptable to change in pace
  • and maintain the ability to be in the cash cage while on duty
  • Report to the Advisor and General Manager on duty
  • Required for a variety of shifts with most of them being evenings
  • Attendance for this position is critical
  • Compliance with the Society’s Policies and Procedures and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a casino environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests and coworkers
  • Knowledge and understanding of gaming regulations and casino operations is a plus
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, the majority being evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear Criminal Record check required
  • You will require approval of your Gaming Worker Registration by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (“AGLC”)
  • Successfully passing all necessary AGLC courses including anti-money laundering

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a casino environment preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of gaming regulations and casino operations is a plus
