Job Description:

We have a fantastic Locum AMHP opportunity based within a Community Mental Health Team in the Tameside, Greater Manchester area. The main purpose of the role is to provide an effective AMHP service to ensure wherever possible that Mental Health Act (MHA) assessment requests are managed within the resources provided by the AMHP rota.

Job Responsibility:

Complete assessments under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 1983
Hold a caseload and complete a mixture of planned and Urgent Mental Health Act assessments

Requirements:

2-5 years experience of working within a similar social work setting
Practising as an AMHP
Diploma/Degree in Social Work
Social Work England registration
Evidence of managing with a complex caseload
