Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to provide expert assessments and support within private law children's cases. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, preparing evidence-based reports, collaborating with stakeholders, and safeguarding children, among others.

Job Responsibility:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families involved in private law disputes (e.g., child arrangements, specific issue orders, prohibited steps orders)
Providing impartial and evidence-based reports for court, focusing on the child's welfare and best interests
Engaging directly with children to ascertain their wishes and feelings, ensuring their voices are heard within legal proceedings
Working collaboratively with legal professionals, families, and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children
Offering professional advice and recommendations to the court on complex family dynamics and child welfare issues
Adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines in family law and social work

Requirements:

Substantial post-qualifying experience in social work, with a proven track record in children's services, ideally within a family court or private law context
A comprehensive understanding of relevant family law legislation and its application to children's cases
Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with children, parents, and legal professionals
The ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently under pressure
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children at all times
Current registration with Social Work England
