Job Responsibility:
Permanence Planning: Developing and implementing robust long-term care plans, including Foster Care, Kinship Care, and Adoption
Caseload Management: Maintaining a dedicated caseload of children and young people, providing consistent support and advocacy
Duty Cover: Participating in the team's duty rota to respond to urgent needs and ensure service continuity
Court Work: Preparing high-quality reports and providing evidence for Children's Hearings and court proceedings
Multi-agency Collaboration: Working closely with schools, health professionals, and legal teams to wrap support around the child
Requirements:
A degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, DipSW, or equivalent)
Active registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council)
Proven experience within Children and Families Social Work, specifically in long-term or permanence settings
Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle the emotional complexities of permanence work
