Safeguarding & Assessment: Conduct high-quality early safeguarding checks, risk assessments, and complex case analyses for both Public and Private law proceedings
Voice of the Child: Meet directly with children to understand their experiences and ensure these are powerfully represented to the family court
Report Writing: Produce evidence-based reports, including Section 7 reports and safeguarding letters, providing clear recommendations to the judiciary
Court Advocacy: Attend Family Court hearings to provide expert testimony and professional analysis
Mediation & Influence: Work persuasively with family members and other professionals to help them remain child-focused during high-conflict disputes
Case Management: Manage a demanding caseload with rapid throughput while maintaining high standards rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding' in audits
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years' post-qualifying experience in social work with children and families at risk
Qualification: Diploma in Social Work or Social Work England recognized equivalent
Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE)
Knowledge: Expertise in child protection, the Family Justice system, and Public/Private Law
