Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of need and risk for children and families
  • Develop and implement robust child protection plans and care plans
  • Undertake direct work with children, young people, and their families
  • Prepare for and attend Children's Hearings, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings
  • Work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies, including health, education, and police
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with professional and organisational standards
  • Participate in duty rotas and provide an effective response to referrals
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services and practice within the team

Requirements:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW)
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
