Job Responsibility:
Adult Support and Protection (ASP): Leading on adult support and protection inquiries, investigations, and interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults
Adults with Incapacity (AWI): Applying the principles of the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, undertaking assessments of capacity, and supporting applications for welfare and financial guardianship, intervention orders, and other relevant legal frameworks
Social Work Assessments: Conducting holistic and robust social work assessments across a range of presenting needs, including risk assessments, care needs assessments, and assessments for self-directed support
Duty Responsibilities: Participating in the duty rota, responding to urgent referrals, and providing immediate support and advice to individuals and families in crisis
Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, police, housing, and third-sector organisations, to ensure integrated and effective service delivery
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with professional standards and organisational policies
Actively participating in supervision, training, and continuous professional development opportunities
Requirements:
A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW)
Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Demonstrable post-qualifying experience in a social work setting, with a strong understanding of ASP and AWI legislation and practice
Proven experience in undertaking comprehensive social work assessments and formulating care plans
