Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Medway Council for a qualified Social Worker to join their Adult Social Care service on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive local authority environment, where reflective practice, safeguarding, and high professional standards are central to service delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Manage a caseload of adults and undertake assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding work in line with statutory requirements
Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve service plan objectives and performance targets
Apply legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks to inform decision making
Participate in regular supervision, performance appraisal, and ongoing professional development, contributing to individual and team learning needs
Use evidence based practice, critical reflection, and professional judgement when working with complex cases
Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with GDPR and data protection requirements
Promote equality, diversity, and anti discriminatory practice in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 and Public Sector Equality Duty

Requirements:
Degree in Social Work
Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
Registration with Social Work England
Knowledge of adult social care legislation, safeguarding procedures, and person centred practice
Ability to work reflectively, manage complex information, and apply professional judgement effectively
